Innes & Gunn is a boutique investment advisory company, with particular focus upon international property.

• Our role is to ensure that our clients fully understand the pros and cons of any investment and that there are no “nasty surprises”.  We keep working with our clients after any acquisition is made to ensure that the agreed investment objectives are secured.

Michael Gunn is an international lawyer with over 20 years’ experience of banking, commercial, corporate, construction and dispute resolution law.  Michael trained and qualified as a solicitor with international law firm Allen & Overy, working in London, Brussels and Dubai.  Michael also has experience of working in Sydney, Paris, Monaco and Switzerland and has dealt with commercial issues in numerous international jurisdictions.  Michael has also been partner with highly respected UK law firm Bond Pearce. Michael is a member of the Law Society of England & Wales and is an accredited mediator with CEDR.  Most recently, Michael has worked as a property and development consultant and held positions as legal director and company secretary to resort development projects in the Caribbean.  In those capacities Michael specializes in project costing and feasibility, research, planning, government relations, legal due diligence, fund raising and commercial / contractual issues relating to project execution. 

Scott Innes is an international property consultant with over 10 years experience within the industry at director level. Dealing with developers around the world and high net worth clients alike, Scott has built a network of contacts and colleagues within the international property sector that is second to none . As the MD of Invest In the Sun, a uk based international property agency for 6 years, Scott became well connected and versed within the international property sector and remains to work along side many of his original partners and some of the worlds best developers to this day. 

This has continued over the past 4 years as the senior partner of “SJI Overseas” a UK based private client organisation assisting and advising clients on International property investment purchases around the world. Scott has carried out purchases and investments in the following key locations France, Spain, Portugal, Eastern Europe, Australia, Canada and the Caribbean.

Scott has been responsible for taking grass root projects through concept and onto the market as well as having built agency networks and marketing plans for large European developers. Scott has also had key responsibility in assisting projects to become UK SIPP compliant and therefore has experience in finance and pension portfolios.
